Contact Lenses

Fast-paced advancements in materials and technologies have paved way for contact lenses that are remarkable in comfort, hygiene and convenience. From coloured lenses for fashion-forward youth to prosthetic lenses that safely conceal damaged eyes, there is a lot of ease and flexibility that comes with recognized contact lenses. Even if you have special needs due to very high spectacle prescription or eye problems related to the cornea or post lasik complications, we can help you by prescribing the specialty contact lenses.

COLORED CONTACT LENSES

Also called as cosmetic lenses, these are used to enhance or change the colour of your eyes. They are available in plano i.e. no number or in prescription also.

MULTI FOCAL CONTACT LENSES

Multifocal contact lens design is somewhat like a progressive spectacle lens design with a gradual change in lens power to provide natural vision from distance to close-up. Soft multifocal lenses can be comfortably worn on a part-time basis, so they’re great for occasions if you prefer not to wear them on an all-day, every day basis.

SPECIALTY CONTACT LENSES

Rose K lenses: Rose K lenses is a family of lenses specially designed to mimic the shape of cornea in Keratoconus . These lenses can help improve vision in keratoconus and provide good comfort and eye health. Rose K lenses also have an application is other conditions with irregular cornea like post graft, post lasik ectasia, pellucid marginal degeneration etc.

Scleral lenses: Scleral contacts are large-diameter rigid gas permeable contact lenses that rest on the white part of the eye called the Sclera. Scleral lenses functionally replace the irregular cornea with a perfectly smooth optical surface to correct vision problems caused by keratoconus and other corneal irregularities. Also, the space between the cornea and the back surface of a scleral lens acts as a fluid reservoir to provide comfort for people with severe dry eyes who otherwise could not tolerate contact lens wear.

Ortho – K lenses : are specially designed rigid gas permeable contact lenses with reverse geometry that are worn overnight. While wrn overnight, the lenses gently reshape the front surface of the eye – cornea so you can see clearly the following day after you remove the lenses when you wake up. These lenses are mainly used to correct eyes spectacle number or to slow down the progression of myopia ( nearsightedness) in young children.

SPHERICAL CONTACT LENSES

These contact lenses are for those, who need simple spherical number (Eg. -3.00DS, +3.00DS) without any cylindrical or axis number. They are available in different materials – hydrogel or silicon hydrogel and different disposable modalities – daily, biweekly, monthly.

TORIC LENSES

These contact lenses are for those, who have a cylindrical or astigmatic number with an axis. (Eg. -1.00 X 180 DC). These are also available in different materils and disposable modalities.
